After a rough couple of weeks for Newcastle, it could finally start to be looking up for The Magpies, as the club look to break their transfer record to sign Hoffenheim’s Brazilian attacker, Joelinton, for a fee reported to be close to €40million (£36.1million).

The news will come as a breath of fresh air for Steve Bruce’s men, after already losing their beloved manager Rafa Benitez to Dalian Yifang, and their top goalscorer Ayoze Perez – to Leicester City – this summer.

The 22-year-old isn’t just going to add goals to a desperate Newcastle side, he also adds some creativity as he has shown in the Bundesliga last season.

Scoring a respectable 7 goals and adding 5 assists to his name in the 25 starts he made for Hoffenheim last season are just glimpses of what he could bring to the Premier League if the deal does go ahead.

Steve Bruce is reportedly working with around £93million for transfers, and this could be the Geordie’s first summer signing since joining his new club.
