Everton are confident of bringing another Barcelona star to Goodison Park after reports on twitter, and French publishers, RMC Sport, have linked Malcom with a €35million(£31.4million) move away from Spanish football, to join his ex-teammate, Andre Gomes, over in the blue half of Merseyside.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing the 22-year-old wide-playmaker, but the capture of Wilfried Zaha remains the North London club’s priority this summer.
Twitter: Everton will make a €35m offer for Barcelona’s Malcom, according to RMC. Arsenal are also interested but have not formulated a bid. (@RBairner)
The addition of Malcom could be very influential to an Everton team who are in desperate need of creativity and goals from the wings, as the Brazilian managed to create 12 and score an impressive 20 in his time with French Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux.
After joining Barcelona last season, Malcom saw himself feature just 15 times in the league for the La Liga champions, with 9 of those 15 appearances coming from the bench.
Barcelona’s and Everton’s unspoken bond looks to be stopping no time soon, as the Catalan giants continue to offload unwanted talent to feature in the Blues first-team. This will be Marco Silva’s 4th Barcelona signing over the past two summers.
