Christian Eriksen, Searching For A New Club
Christian Eriksen wanted to leave the Spurs and focused on his dream move to the Bernabéu this summer. However, the Danish ace’s hopes of playing for Real Madrid came crashing down after the Los Blancos signed Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
Moreover, Real Madrid’s new manager, Zinedine Zidane announced that he is also eyeing Manchester United’s Paul Pogba to further solidify the Spanish club.
With his hopes of going to Spain dashed, the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is now trying to make a switch to Manchester United or Serie A side Juventus.
Recently, Juventus hired Maurizio Sarri from Chelsea to manage the club. They are on the verge of rebuilding their arsenal in their quest to capture the Champions League trophy. This development opened the door for the 27-year-old Dane, who has made it clear that he is willing to leave Spurs for a new opportunity.
The Mirror reported that the Spurs are willing to let Eriksen go for a huge sum of £100 million.
Selling Eriksen would help Spurs build up their transfer budget to aid them in pursuit of their other targets. However, his exit would leave a huge talent void they would have to look to fill in the transfer market.
Tottenham reportedly have Wilfred Zaha on their wish list to potentially replace Eriksen if the Dane does in fact leave the club.
