Chelsea winger, Victor Moses has joined Turkish giants, Fenerbahce, on loan until the end of the season as announced by the club’s official Twitter account.

The 28-year-old had rejected a move to the Chinese Super League in order to make the move to Turkish Süper Lig.

This will be his fourth loan away from Stamford Bridge. The Nigerian signed for Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan for approximately £9 million. Moses has spent time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham respectively.

Moses’ Chelsea career seemed to be over before Antonio Conte transformed his position from a winger to a right wing-back as the Italian deployed a 3-4-3 following a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in September 2016. Moses was instrumental as Chelsea won the league, amassing 93 points and 30 wins in the process.

This season Moses has struggled for game time with Willian, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pedro ahead of him in the pecking order. In all competitions, Moses has made 5 appearances, only completing 90 minutes in the League Cup third round victory away to Liverpool. He was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s third round FA Cup victory against Nottingham Forest.

It is unlikely that Moses will be the only fringe player leaving Chelsea on loan. Gary Cahill is expected to leave the club amid Fulham and Monaco interest. Central midfielder, Danny Drinkwater is not in Sarri’s plans but wage demands is stalling any potential deal.
