Croatian defender Domagoj Vida set for Premier League move?
Croatia international Domagoj Vida has attracted interests from big European clubs, especially from Premier League since his excellent form in Euro 2016. Now, his price has skyrocketed after another impressive showing in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and clubs like Everton, Liverpool, and Arsenal have been linked with the strong defender since the start of the summer transfer window.
But according to several claims in Turkey via Sportwitness, Arsenal are said to be the only ‘serious’ buyer right now with the Premier League club, willing to bid as high as £26.9million to sign the Besiktas defender, which pretty much matches the club’s valuation of the defender.
Besiktas would still be willing to wait for the highest bidder though, which could force Arsenal to increase their bid for the Croatian defender if a higher bid does come. A player plus cash exchange could even be on the cards here.
Whether this transfer will materialise, we’ll wait and see.
