West Ham made a deal for £10.7m-rated defender Harold Moukoudi
With the transfer window about to close down, West Ham offered Le Havre’s Harold Moukoudi who is valued at £10.7 million.
According to reports, the English giants made an offer to the 20-year-old former France U18 international ahead of the deadline. Aside from West Ham, the centre-back was said to have received glances from other Premier League clubs which includes Burnley, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Derby County.
The Hammers are keen in bringing in Moukoudi to London Stadium before the transfer window closes. His move to the Premier League side could help the Hammers new boss Manuel Pellegrini strengthen their defense. West Ham finished 13th in their last campaign under David Moyes. Their disappointing finished allegedly led to the departure of Moyes and the club appointed Pellegrini this summer.
West Ham are also talking with free agent Bernard ahead of the new season. They are also asking about the possibility of signing Arsenal’s Lucas Perez. The striker was reportedly talking to Sporting Lisbon.
The Premier League club is also thinking about Porto’s Moussa Marega but his salary is quite expensive for West Ham. He will, however, remain a possible option for the English club.
West Ham will start its 2018/2019 EPL campaign away at Liverpool.
