Mousa Dembele Could Still Leave Spurs Before Deadline
While news about the alleged rumours surrounding the future of the Belgian midfielder, Mousa Dembele, have died down significantly, the Spurs midfielder could still leave Tottenham this summer before the deadline.
According to Belgian Het Nieuwsblad, Dembele could still leave Tottenham before August 9, while the English club is still trying to make a decision on the Belgian midfielder.
Dembele’s contract is set to expire next summer, and the Spurs could decide to accept an offer already this summer before the transfer window closes down for English clubs. This is to avoid from having Dembele leave the English club for free. But as of the moment, it appears that the links leading the midfielder to China seemed to have slowly faded away.
Moreover, the proposed move to the Italian side has also been put on hold. Dembele’s proposed move to Inter has been set aside as the Nerazzurri failed to reach an agreement with Dembele’s fee.
However, Dembele’s move from the Premier League club can still happen as Hotspur are also willing to trade and let go of the Belgian international.
If there would be no takers for the 31-year-old midfielder, Dembele may have stay in North London and max out his contract with the Tottenham Hotspur.
