Everton Offer £30m Bid for Bordeaux’s Star Forward Malcom
According to Sky sources, Everton have offered £30m plus £5m add-on for five years in attempt to sign Brazilian international and Bordeaux’s winger Malcom.
Bordeaux’s chairman Stephane Martin is set to meet with Everton’s representatives regarding the deal. Bordeaux is determined to get the best deal possible for their highly coveted player.
Earlier, the French side refused to trade the Brazilian, with Gus Poyet saying that he would not have taken the manager’s job without guarantees that Malcom would stay until at least the end of the season.
Last February, the Brazilian international revealed that he had an agreement to leave Bordeaux in the summer. He added that he will choose the team and the club will release him.
According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal and Tottenham were pretty much interested with the youngster in January. However, they were met with a negative response from Bordeaux due to their unwillingness to trade during the season. Manchester United and Bayern Munich were said to be eyeing the 21-year-old Brazilian too.
21-year-old Malcom has made 86 appearances and scored 19 goals since moving from Corinthians in 2015. His stellar performance for the Ligue 1 club over the last two years has attracted a lot of attention across Europe.
