According to Sky Sports News, Derby County has closed a double deal with Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Liverpool’s Harry Wilson. Both Mount and Wilson will be suiting up for Derby on a season-long loan deals.
The 19 year old Mount was a member of England’s Under 19 team that won the 2017 European Under-19 Championship. He was named the tournament’s best player. Last season, he was with Vitesse Arnhem on loan and has played 38 times, scoring 14 goals in the Dutch top flight. Vitesse finished 6th in the 2017-18 season. At the age of six, Mount was part of the Chelsea’s academy.
Wilson, 21, was also on loan with Championship rivals Hull City last 2017-18 season and saw actions 13 times while scoring 7 goals. He was also the youngest player to represent Wales at 16 years and 208 days old, and scored his first international goal in their 6-0 victory against China.
Rams’ new boss and former Chelsea star Frank Lampard is delighted with the double signing of these two players. Lampard added that he knew Mount too well from his Chelsea links and have even watched him play in successful youth teams. Lampard also said good things about Wilson.
