Roman Abramovich in Italy to seal some deals?
Chelsea owner Roman Aramovich was allegedly more hands on in his involvement of the recruitment of former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri, and midfielder Jorginho. So with the reports that he is currently in Italy, suggests that the Russian billionaire could well be helping to seal the deals on a few transfer targets.
Sport Italia, Sky Italy and many other Italian sources have stated that Chelsea are close to completing deals for Juventus duo Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain, so there could be some work to be done here by the Chelsea owner to get these over the line.
There is also alleged negotiations with AC Milan, with Alvaro Morata subject of strong interest from the Serie A club. Chelsea are also set to lose goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid, but will not allow this deal to be completed until they seal a replacement.
Of course there is a Milan keeper who has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea, 19-year old Gianluigi Donnarumma. Also linked to Paris Saint-Germain, but could Abramovich be there to seal this deal as other keeper options look fairly thin on the ground?
Cesc Fabregas has also been of interest of Milan during this window and his Chelsea future remains up in the air with the expected arrival of Russia world cup star Aleksandr Golovin, and Jorginho already sealing his move.
With time running out in this window, Chelsea look to be one of the busiest clubs over the next few weeks.
