It is no longer a secret that two Chelsea players, Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard are being eyed by Real Madrid. The Bernabeu giant have been a long time admirer of Hazard.
According to Sky Sport, The Blues is talking with the Spanish club for Courtois and Hazard, as Real Madrid are ready to acquire them both after selling Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus. The Los Blancos seems to be ready to break the bank for the duo.
Hazard was instrumental for Belgium’s second runner-up position during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The forward scored a goal for Belgium defeating England for the third place play-off. While Courtois was jubilant after they blanked the Three Lions in the battle for third place.
If Chelsea ends up selling Courtois, the Blues need to act quickly on getting the services of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with interest from PSG.
Courtois still has a year left on his contract, while Hazard who joined Chelsea in 2012 still has two more years with the English club.
There have been some rumours recently according to French media RMC that both parties have struck a £31million deal for the 26-year-old goalkeeper and there are ongoing talks between Real Madrid and Thibaut Courtois and something could be announced in the coming days or even sooner.
Multiple reports suggest that Chelsea are unwilling to sell Eden Hazard except if he hands in a transfer request and Madrid outbid PSG’s fee for Neymar of €222 million.
