Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be nearing a deal to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to Talksport.
Jose Mourinho has been a long-time admirer of the 29-year-old Croatia international, with the Red Devils boss failing to bring Perisic into Manchester a year ago.
The winger emerged as one of the stars in the World Cup, helping an unfancied Croatia side to reach their first-ever final in the tournament. His stunning performances at the flanks for Vatreni have put various clubs on alert, while the Old Trafford outfit has understandably renewed their interest in the 73-capped Croatian.
And Mourinho seems to be edging closer to getting the exciting winger. The Red Devils are said to be in advanced talks with Perisic, with his agents set to fly to England to put the finishing touches of his transfer to the red half of Manchester from the Nerazzurri.
Prior to a fine World Cup outing, Perisic savoured a wonderful season with Inter Milan, the club he has played for since 2015. He scored 11 goals while also adding 11 assists to help the San Siro outfit finish fourth in Serie A, securing their return to the Champions League after missing out the season before.
