According to reports from the Spanish news portal, AS, Napoli executives are reaching out to Real Madrid every day. They are calling the Spanish club about the possibility of bringing Karim Benzema from Madrid to its folds.

This comes after another Italian club; Juventus pulled everything out to bring Portuguese and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin, in what could be the “deal of the century.”

The Naples based club hopes to bring the Frenchman in to give new head coach Carlo Ancelotti someone who could rival Juventus’ star purchase. Earlier, Ancelotti replaced Maurizio Sarri. The latter transferred to Chelsea to be the West London club’s new manager.

The new Napoli boss hopes that the 30-year-old Benzema would make that switch to Napoli.

Benzema would be an amazing addition for Napoli, who wish to once again challenge the Turin based club for the Scudetto. In the 2017/2018 season, Napoli narrowly missed out on the title and needs to be at the top of their game if they want to challenge the Old Lady again. Benzema scored five La Liga goals in 32 appearances last season. He also missed France’s 2018 World Cup squad who will face Croatia for the championship.
