Everton are reportedly keen on Barcelona leftback Lucas Digne after already setting their sights on the Catalan club’s central defender Yerry Mina, according to The Daily Mirror.
Yerry Mina has found life difficult in Spain after moving from Palmeiras in January, making only six appearances for the Blaugrana. While he impressed at the World Cup with three goals for Colombia, the 6ft 5in defender has now found himself surplus to requirements at Barcelona who had recently acquired French centreback Clement Lenglet from Sevilla.
New Toffees boss Marco Silva has already given the green light to take Mina at Merseyside, but it is understood the former Watford manager also wants to sign Digne from Barcelona.
Like Mina, the French fullback has also become frustrated with the Catalan giants. Since arriving at the club in 2016, Digne has only made 29 appearances, with Jordi Alba the undisputed first-choice leftback at Barcelona.
The lack of game time cost Digne a place in the France World Cup squad and with Barcelona declaring they are open to offers for the 24-year-old fullback, a proposition that Silva now wants to explore.
However, Bayern Munich and Juventus are reportedly interested as well, and Digne may find Goodison Park a less interesting proposition, even if the Toffees make a higher salary offer. Mina, meanwhile, may have to consider offers as he is now far down the pecking order at Barcelona.
