Manchester United Ready to Fork Out £50M for Harry Maguire
Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in acquiring the Leicester and England defender Harry Maguire. However, the Old Trafford Club is keen in signing the 25-year-old defender for a whooping £50 million. Maguire’s value has jumped after his outstanding performances in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Last year, Leicester acquired Maguire from Hull City for £17million. Now, the Red Devils are ready to fork out three times the amount the towering defender have received after Leicester signed him from Hull last summer. Manchester United is trying to lure Leicester into selling Maguire for a huge profit. The Thai owner of the Foxes will however fight hard to keep Maguire from leaving the King Power Stadium.
Maguire starred for the Three Lions and scored an amazing goal against Sweden as England reached the semi-finals for the first time since 1990.
Manchester United’s manager, Jose Mourinho is eager to improve his defence as his current defenders are either struggling or plagued by injuries. Maguire’s acquisition could most likely be the cure for Mourinho’s headache.
Maguire has already taken the places of Red’s Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the World Cup and could do the same thing at Manchester United.
