Southampton an option for Jack Wilshere
Jack Wilshere has been linked with a move away from North London club Arsenal. Southampton has now joined the race for Wilshire’s signature, as the Englishman seeks first team football and a wealthy contract.
Wilshere had a fantastic season on loan at Bournemouth on loan during the 2016/17 season. Arsenal loaned him out because of his inconsistent performances at the club while demanding to be a regular starter.
After Arsenal failing to meet his demands and becoming unsettled by Unai Emery’s wish to keep him as a rotation player, it looks like Jack Wilshere will run down his existing contract, making him a free agent. Free agency gives him complete control of his next destination. His talent is undeniable and many clubs from the Premier League and Serie A wait by the sidelines with offers at hand.
Southampton has recently become interested in the 26-year old as they look to rebuild their squad after a nightmarish season, coming close to being relegated. Juventus, AC Milan and West Ham all have been tracking his contract situation since his loan last season. Now that Wilshere will make himself available, clubs will be ready to offer him enticing offers. If Southampton are serious about adding Wilshere to the squad, they must move quickly and guarantee him an environment where he can flourish.
