Moses Simon linked with Liverpool move
Liverpool is eyeing up a move for upcoming winger Moses Simon from Belgium side Gent, according to The Daily Mirror. The Nigerian international has caught the eye of Liverpool officials whilst playing domestically in Belgium’s top league.
Liverpool’s decision will not come as a surprise due to the four competitions that they find themselves competing next season. The figure being speculated is £10 million and the valuation is unlikely to put off Liverpool. Due to the fact he has only one year left on his contract, it appears likely that they will face competition from a number of clubs to secure his signature. Their ambition to win trophies across all stages needs to be met with a larger squad and strengthening is the key to reaching this target.
His return of six goals and three assists is respectable for the wide-man who can figure on both flanks. Liverpool see him as a formidable backup option to their current stars Mo Salah and Sadio Mane for next season.
Moses was set to compete in the World Cup this month for Nigeria but he has not been included in the squad due to a recent injury. A major blow for the 22 year old who would have been eager to impress clubs this summer.
