According to Marca, Atletico Madrid is close to signing Djibril Sidibé, and are in advanced talks with AS Monaco as of Saturday morning.
Diego Simeone has had bids rejected before but after putting Šime Vrsaljko up for grabs at the beginning of the summer transfer window, Simeone is keen on bringing in the French international before letting go of Vrsaljko.
Vrsaljko is said to be available for around €45 Million with the likes of Juventus, Manchester United and Napoli showing serious interest. Napoli being favorites to pick up the wingback.
Aside from Sidibé, Thomas Lemar is also an interesting prospect that Atléti have on their radar. A double swoop can definitely happen considering Monaco and Atléti are on great terms after the signing of Carrasco a few seasons back. Lemar originally was hyped up to be a Liverpool signing this summer but the Reds opted for Fabinho as he is a better fit for the team.
Atlético de Madrid prepare themselves for the 2018/19 season after a successful Europa League campaign. Fernando Torres has left the club leaving a gap up front as Diego Godin and José Giménez are said to be targeted by Juve. Prompting Simeone to make quick signings before the World Cup kicks off.
