French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Marseille has an interest in signing Man United Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini this summer, according to L’Equipe.

According to the French outlet, Marseille sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has held talks with the Belgium international’s representatives over a potential move, but his wage demands may prove to be a stumbling block. Fellaini, 30, is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer and has also been linked with a move to AC Milan.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has expressed his desire to renew the contract of the midfielder but it is understood that Fellaini is likely to leave the club this summer in search of a new challenge elsewhere.

Fellaini was brought to the club by former manager David Moyes back in 2013 in a deal worth £27.5 million, on deadline day, and he has gone on to make over 150 appearances for the club since then.

Like Fellaini, L’Equipe has also reported that the French giants who recently lost the Europa League final to Atletico Madrid in May also maintains an interest in signing former Ivory Coast International Yaya Toure who is now a free agent after his contract expired with Manchester City at the end of last season.
