Mitrovic set to sign for Fulham permanently
Newcastle’s Aleksandar Mitrovic is set for a permanent move to Fulham this summer, according to Sky Sources. The Serbian was a key performer in Fulham’s promotion success this season. A return of 12 goals in 20 games has led to a major talking point over his future at St James Park.
Benitez will no doubt be wanting to key hold of a prolific powerhouse in Mitrovic but Fulham are set to be handed a rather large figure of 170 million after Saturday’s playoff triumph over Aston Villa. Therefore it could prove difficult for the club to keep him over the summer. Jokanovic’s ability to get the best out of the striker has ensured high praise from the media.
Mitrovic has stated that he is happy playing for Fulham but understands that he is still a Newcastle player at this present time. A valuation of 15 million appears to be the figure currently but with Fulham’s promotion, this could have undoubtedly increased due to his current form.
With an upcoming World Cup campaign with Serbia to look forward to, Mitrovic will see the tournament as a great opportunity to showcase his talents to current suitors.
