Chelsea are the latest club to express an interest in signing Arsenal full back Hector Bellerin, according to Spanish publication Sport.

The 23-year old is already the subject of interest from Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United. But Chelsea, who are fuelled by an alleged summer of spending by owner Roman Abramovich, have shortlisted the Spanish international as a potential target this summer.

Bellerin could command a fee of around £40 million, as confirmation of contact from other clubs came earlier this season. It’s unconfirmed which clubs have already enquired, but its likely that Barcelona and Manchester United would have tried to get a head start on the defenders availability.

Arsenal will have a new manager in place for next season, as Arsene Wenger leaves the post he has been in since 1996. A lot will depend on the new man coming in and whether they see Bellerin as part of their plans. But there may well be a desire to sell some players in demand, in order to fund some of the new managers own targets when they come in.

Chelsea’s head coach role is also uncertain this summer, with Antonio Conte widely expected to leave. But reports suggest that Abramovich is already putting the moves in place on summer targets already, regardless of who will be in charge of the first team.
