Roman Abramovich set to open his warchest and go to battle
Chelsea’s billionaire owner Roman Abramovich is allegedly ready to open up his famous warchest of money, in an attempt to get Chelsea’s season on track and bring in some much needed reinforcements.
The Russian oil Tycoon has already bought in three players this season spending in excess of £150m. However, with the amount of players who have been allowed to leave on loan or permanently, Manager Antonio Conte has been asking for more arrivals amidst concerns of a dangerously thin squad.
The Express say that the Chelsea board have granted permission for Conte to spend up to another £130m on targets, as they look to bring in another 3 or 4 players.

The publication goes on to claim that a £25 million bid has been made for Valencia Full Back Joao Cancelo already, a second offer of around £25 million will go in to Leicester for midfielder Danny Drinkwater within the next 24 hours, a move for £35 million Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain appears closer and finally a £50 million bid is expected to go in for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.
The Standard are also suggesting that Oxlade-Chamberlain is a step closer to joining Chelsea, with Manager Arsene Wenger tempted to sell up. Chelsea are allegedly confident of doing the deal.

The Blues appear to be leaving it late once again, but after suffering a 3-2 home defeat to Burnley on the opening day of the season, they appear to be taking action.
