Santos young left-back Wanderson de Jesus Martins or as better known as Caju has not been announced officially by Lille despite already staying in the Northern France for 10 days, according to Foot01.

The high-potential Brazilian full-back has left Santos for Lille in a loan transfer with an option to buy for €4m.

The transfer of the left-back is supposed to be officially announced at the same time with Thiago Maia and the Lille fans start to wonder why that didn’t happen.

It seems that the medical test failure is the case as the 22-year-old left-back is currently suffering from an injury.

According to La Voix du Nord, an additional medical examination will be planned but the first medical test failure has put the move in a jeopardy.

Another thing that has put this move further in doubt is that Ligue 1 only allows 4 non-EU players registered for a team in a season. While Lille already have Thiago Maia, Thiago Mendes, Luiz Araujo, and Junior Alonso.

Anyway, Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t seem to need any additional left-back as ‘El Profe’ has already had Rominigue Kouame (20), Fode Ballo-Toure (20), and Hamza Mendyl (19) at his disposal.

Since taken over by Marcelo Bielsa and having Luis Campos as the sporting director, Lille has expanded their scouting range to South America and Southern Europe.
