Roma raise their newest bid to sign Riyad Mahrez
Italian Serie A side AS Roma are hot on the heels for Algerian sensation Riyad Mahrez. The 26 year old winger first joined the Premier League 2015/16 Champions Leicester City in January 2014. After spending over three years at the English club, Mahrez finally looks set to find pastures anew.
According to reports in Italy, Roma are the team that look to be Mahrez’s new destination. According to the reports, Roma have relaunched a fresh €30 million bid to sign the playmaker after having their initial €23 million bid rejected. This raising of their bid for the services of Mahrez demonstrates the Italian club’s determination and resolve to make a statement and sign their primary target of the summer.
According to reports in England, the negotiations are continuing to grow steam, as it is understood the Algerian prefers a move to Rome over other clubs and has already agreed personal terms.
However, Leicester City are rumored to be demanding €35 million for their star player, so Roma may have to raise their new bid one more time before they can land Mahrez.
But with player terms already agreed and Roma inching closer to Leicester City’s demands, negotiations are moving into hyper speed and a deal could be wrapped up by the end of the week.
