Goals are always the best part to see at a football game – especially when it comes after a well-crafted team move or from a beautiful long-range goal or even an acrobatically-struck shot. Perhaps for me, any kind of goal is an eyegasm.
Strikers are undoubtedly the main sources of goals, both by putting the ball in the net or teeing the ball to their teammates. Nowadays, you can’t simply judge a striker by the number of goals they scored – but also the number of chances they created and how much they contributed to the team tactically. The role of a striker has gradually shifted, from just a traditional fox in the box striker like Leonardo Pavoletti or a more modern false nine role like Roberto Firmino. But still, scoring the goals would always be the most vital part of a striker.
