Josh King wants Bournemouth stay despite links away
Eddie Howe has received a huge boost as top striker Josh King has confirmed he wants to stay at Bournemouth this summer but admitted he has seen the news linking him to clubs inside the top seven of the Premier League.
King went largely under the radar last season at Bournemouth with Alexis Sanchez, Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku the main goal scoring names but King was not far behind after some fine form in 2017 helped pull Eddie Howe’s men away from the relegation battle and into the top ten.
The former Manchester United man and Norway international says he is aware of links to Tottenham Hotspur but is currently enjoying his summer holiday say Bournemouth Echo.
The new link for Josh King seems to be Everton, although an announcement of Spanish U-21 Sandro seems to be near for Everton, possibly meaning that links to King will slow down but the striker has confirmed he would like to stay on the South Coast, however he did also say you never know.
I would be a liar if I said I hadn’t noticed it. (the links to Spurs) It was in most papers in England and you have got people tagging you and sending you links here and there.
It is the summer holiday now and I’ve learned so much from the gaffer here.
You never know in football but, hopefully, I will be here next year and I’m looking forward to working with the gaffer because he’s been brilliant with me since the day I set foot on the training ground.
Every player has a price and it seems that Josh King knows he has one too and if he is subject of a large bid with Jermaine Defoe coming in and Callum Wilson back from injury he may decide a move from Bournemouth makes sense for him.
