Arsenal lodge offer for Leicester youngster
Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly made a second attempt to acquire the services of Leicester full back Ben Chilwell, says the Mirror.
Chilwell, who’s currently 19 has made three appearances this season, out of which two came in the FA Cup against Spurs, while one came against Hull City in the League Cup. More so, he is known to be one of the best young full backs in the division.
Chilwell was a subject of a £3 million offer from the Gunners this past summer and Arsene Wenger is keen on signing the youngster this month itself. Arsenal have now made another approach to sign Chilwell, who is said to be on the radar of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City too.
Arsenal’s first choice left back Nacho Monreal penned a new deal at the Emirates recently and Wenger is well aware of the fact that Kieran Gibbs could end up departing the club, in his attempt to play for England the upcoming Euros.
In Chilwell, Arsene Wenger sees someone with a bright future and he’s desperate to sign him, after snapping up Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel and agreeing deals for both Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze.
