Barcelona is one of the clubs keeping their eyes out for 19-year-old defender Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig. The player has been attracting attention after his solid performances for the club and their quick rise to success.

The La Liga side are willing to pay up to a €100million (£87m) for the teenager, according to a report from Telefoot. The report also suggests that he has already made a verbal agreement with Barcelona, to fend off interest from Manchester United.

Upamecano might only be 19, but has played the majority of the season missing only five Bundesliga games this season (Leipzig won one out of five with his absence).

His statistics are impressive as he is in the top five list for headed clearances and top six for for recoveries and interceptions.

If Barcelona do end up going all the way up to a  €100million, his move will be the 2nd most expensive transfer for a teenager after Kylian Mbappe and the 9th most expensive transfer in history.

The teenager moved to RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in 2017 for a reported fee of €10million. Since then he has featured 37 times for the German club. He is also a France Under-21 international appearing in two games so far.
