Leicester City have had an appeal to register attempted deadline day signing Adrien Silva, rejected by FIFA.
The Foxes allegedly missed the deadline to register the Sporting midfielder by 14 seconds.

28-year old Silva was the replacement for Danny Drinkwater, who was allowed to leave for Chelsea in the dying moments of transfer window last week.
Silva was at the Leicester ground, passed a medical and signed his terms with the club, only for it to be rejected at this stage by officials at FIFA.
Leicester have failed to sign the same player now for the last two transfer deadline days, and although they only missed out on a mere 14 seconds, it appears a mistake that could prove costly for the former Premier League champions.
The drama on deadline day in the final hours produced a circus of events, Leicester were desperately trying to seal the deal for Silva before releasing Drinkwater, but Chelsea played hardball and insisted that they got their man on time, leaving it a risk for Craig Shakespeare’s side to sign Silva.
It has taken FIFA almost a week to decide the outcome, but Leicester will not be pleased.
