Liverpool’s Brazilian midfielder and winger Philippe Coutinho has been in a lot of headlines recently, and it looks as if the little magician has his heart set on joining Spanish giants Barcelona.

Liverpool have received and rejected two offers from FC Barcelona this summer, the second being in the region of 90 million pounds, which would have made him the second most expensive transfer ever, behind Neymar’s recent move to Paris Saint Germain. Coutinho missed Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Watford due to a back injury, and fans are wondering whether they will see their little magician in a red shirt ever again.

Coutinho has handed in an official transfer request, meaning that he would prefer to join the Spanish club then stay at the reds. Barcelona are looking for a new star after the recent departure of Neymar. Coutinho and Borrusia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele are the most likely to join the club. Liverpool have stated that they would take no offers into consideration, but Coutinho’s transfer request might change their minds. Barcelona are set to offer 110 million pounds for their man.

Mundo Deportivo on the other hand report that Coutinho is ready to risk his World Cup place by sitting on the sidelines all season, in order to push a move to Barcelona. The player believes it might be now or never on a move to the La Liga giants. This saga will definitely continue until the last minutes of deadline day.
