Valencia determined to sign Inter’s Jeison Murillo
Despite facing a number of hurdles in their chase to sign the 25 year-old Colombian center back Jeison Murillo from Inter Milan, Valencia remain intent on overcoming any obstacles until they are able to land their key defensive target. According to reports in Italy, representatives from the Spanish club Valencia CF are set to arrive in Milan to meet with Inter Milan officials to resolve the final stages of their negotiations to land the Colombian.
The negotiations regarding Murillo’s impending move to Valencia have lasted much longer than expected, but Valencia remain hopeful that they can finally tie up the loose ends and reach an agreement this week after officials from the two clubs meet.
The reports suggest that Inter Milan have set a €15 million price tag for their Colombian central defender. In the early phases of the negotiation process, Valencia proposed a €12 million offer which was originally rejected by Inter Milan. However, in their meeting this week, Valencia are prepared to submit a new offer of €13 million plus a number add-ons, which they believe would be enough to convince the Italian club to agree to part ways with Murillo.
Jeison Murillo has already expressed a desire to move to Spain and join Valencia, so all that looks to be sorted in the coming week is an agreement of the transfer fee and some final minor details.
