Galatasaray eager to sign Senegalese striker Moussa Konate
According to reports in Switzerland and Senegal, Senegal’s 24 year old striker Moussa Konate is a leading transfer target for Turkish behemoths Galatasaray. The striker who currently plays for Swiss club FC Sion is one that Galatasaray have recently identified as wanting to add to their attacking ranks and are rumored to be putting together a bid in the coming days.
FC Sion are reportedly willing to part ways with their star striker if a €4 million transfer fee is met. However, with only one year remaining on the Senegalese striker’s contract with the Swiss club, FC Sion must be flexible and willing to listen to offers slightly less than that figure or risk losing Konate for free next summer once his contract runs out.

Moussa Konate started his youth career in his native country of Senegal. Once turning 18, he made the jump to Europe, first joining Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv. Since then, Konate has experienced time with Russian club Krasnodar and Italian club Genoa before joining Swiss side FC Sion in 2014. After spending three full seasons with the club, he has made 111 appearances and notched 50 goals across all competitions in that time period.
The free-scoring central striker has been attracting attention from numerous clubs for a couple of seasons, but with Galatasary in the mood to sign a productive attacker to add to their offensive depth, and Konate’s resume matching up with the qualities they are looking for, stay tuned in the coming days as the negotiations are set to unfold.
