Andre Gray to Make the Drop to the Championship?
This transfer window has seen much speculation over whether or not Andre Gray will stay at Burnley or be on the move to pastures greener. Much of the talk has been about West Ham making a move for the front-man who netted 10 goals for the Clarets last season due to the Hammer’s need for a new striker.
However, HITC revealed that a shock bid for the striker could be in the works as Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers are lining up a £20 million bid for the forward. Andre Gray was born in Wolverhampton and was on Wolves’ books as a youth team player before joining Shrewsbury Town’s Academy in 2004.
Wolves have already signed ten players this window and added some big names to their roster in the form of Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota. However, the Black Country outfit are certainly in need of a proven goalscorer due to a poor display from their strikers during the 2016/17 campaign.
Andre Gray could provide just that, boasting an impressive goal-scoring record in the Championship having netted 41 goals in 88 games at that level with Burnley and Brentford and could aid Wolves in their hunt for promotion this season.
