American winger Paul Arriola attracting plenty of attention
The 22 year old American winger Paul Arriola’s young career has warped into lightspeed this past calendar year. After starting the first couple of seasons at Tijuana in Mexico’s Liga MX rather quietly, his career has blasted off recently. In the past year, Arriola, the California native, burst on to the scene as a major contributing player for the United States national team, and looks to be a likely player selected for the United States squad in next summer’s World Cup.
Arriola’s breakthrough has caught the attention of numerous club suitors looking to add his talent and burst of speed to their ranks. According to reports, Arriola looks set to leave Mexican Liga MX club Tijuana this summer after spending his entire career there thus far. The reports indicate that Arriola has offers to join multiple clubs in the United States, Portugal, and Netherlands.
The LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake are believed to be the two American club teams in the running for Arriola, while no details have yet emerged on which exact teams in the Portugal and Netherlands are interested in signing him.
Club Tijuana are said to be open to selling their young prospect if a right offer comes in which is good news for the multitude of teams looking to sign him. Now, it looks a transfer war may begin as a number of clubs fight to win the Arriola bidding war and come out victorious.
