Both Crystal Palace and West Brom are interested in signing former Arsenal and Manchester City right-back Bacary Sagna on a free transfer, according to a report from the Birmingham Mail.

The 34-year-old Frenchman is currently a free agent having been released by Manchester City in the summer along with fellow Frenchman Gael Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta.

Both Crystal Palace and West Brom are looking to strengthen their back-four for next season with the new Eagles manager Frank de Boar looking to add an experienced defender to the squad.

It is reported that Sagna has rejected offers from overseas clubs in an attempt to continue playing in the Premier League.

West Brom will also be looking to snap up the player as they currently do not have a recognised right-back at the club with Craig Dawson, usually a centre-back filling in the right-back position, acting as on ever since Tony Pulis was appointed in 2015.
