Juventus eye Southampton’s Cedric Soares
Juventus eye a £15 million move for Southamptons’s Cedric Soares to replace Manchester City bound Dani Alves, according to Daily Mirror.
The full back helped Portugal in winning the Euro 2016 and is currently on duty at the Confederation Cup. Cedric’s good form over the past two years has attracted a lot of interest from big clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City.
The Portuguese defender made 34 appearances for the Saints and helped them to the EFL cup final and an 8th place. finish in the Premier League. The full back enjoyed a successful campaign with 3 assists in 30 appearances in the top flight.
He joined the club in 2015 after a €6.5 million move from Sporting Lisbon.
The Turin club are interested in Cedric Soares to replace Dani Alves, who terminated his contract to join Manchester City.
However, the 25 year old is not the Italian club’s main target as they aim to bring in Real Madrid full back Danilo. But Soares would be a cheaper option who is valued at €20 million. The Old Lady has already shortlisted Man Utd’s Matteo Darmian as an alternative.
