Norwegian midfielder and Genk starlet Sander Berge is in the middle of tug-of-war between Premier League clubs Arsenal and Everton, according to Mirror .

The highly-coveted midfielder has been tracked by The Gunners for several months with Monaco and Sevilla also closely following the Norwegian midfielder.

Arsene Wenger is now considering a bid for the 19-year-old defensive midfielder who is currently plying his trade at Belgian side KRC Genk.

Though the youngster has only joined Genk from Valerenga last winter for £2m, a significant amount of offer could be too good to be refused.

Sander Berge is expected to cost around £18m, which will not be an issue for Arsenal.

The defensive midfielder could provide a solution to Arsene Wenger’s long-standing blind and upgrade on Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny.

It would also free up Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey as Wenger searches for solutions to a poor season capped off with FA Cup glory.

Sander Berge made a total of 27 appearances for Genk last season. He also has won 3 caps for the senior Norwegian national team.

As for right now, nothing have materialised but a move could soon happen for the young lad with the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Monaco, and Sevilla ready to launch a bid.
