Anderson Talisca on Manchester United radar
Having just sealed the signature of Benfica’s Nilsson Lindelöf, reports by the Independent suggest that Mourinho could be raiding the Lisbon outfit for another player. This time in the form of the 23-year-old Brazilian, Anderson Talisca
The attacking midfielder spent the 2016/17 season away from the Estádio da Luz on loan at Beşiktaş. He had an impressive spell, scoring 17 goals and contributing 6 assists in 33 appearances for the Turkish club.
He picked up interest from other Premier League suitors last summer, including the likes of Liverpool. It is believed that he would cost Manchester United somewhere in the region of £20 million, adding a more attacking outlet to United’s midfield.
With Wayne Rooney taking a back seat at Old Trafford, possibly leaving, it has left Jose with a gap to fill in midfield where goals can come from although the likes of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera have been mainstays in the centre of the park for the club last season and the addition of Talisca would provide huge competition for places.
Talisca has expressed a keen desire to join United this summer, although the negotiations could take some time due to more pressing transfer business. Namely, Mourinho’s desire to sign Alvaro Morata as quickly as possible, putting this potential transfer on hold.
