The forward is not in Arsene Wenger’s plans for next season and should a suitable bid arrive for the French international he would be allowed to leave the club.
West Ham are keen on Giroud with Andy Carroll’s injury record seeing him spend more time out than in the XI along with Diafra Sakho who’s back injury meant a deal to West Bromwich Albion last summer fell through and then subsequently struggled for fitness afterwards.
Slaven Bilic ended the season with youngster Ashley Fletcher up top with Andre Ayew also getting opportunities and Jonathan Calleri, non of which could really stake a claim for the main source of goals coming into this season.
Giroud has previously said he does not want to leave Arsenal, having won FA Cups at the London club he is keen to get league titles back to North London, however it seems that Arsene Wenger is now willing to take that decision away from the striker and agree a deal to sell him anyway.
