“Shkodran and Arsenal agree. There are only the terms to be agreed on a transfer fee.
Mustafi’s agent Ali Bulut told Spox.
Arsenal initially showed interest in West Brom’s Jonny Evans but the manager, Tony Pulis blocked the move and Mustafi signing will definitely bring some relieve to frustrated Arsenal fans who have been desperate for new signings.
Arsenal’s interest in Alexandre Lacazette has cooled off with Lyon demanding in excess of £40m and Wenger may have to start the season with Alexis Sanchez up front. And will likely likely use Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers as a makeshift central defensive partnership on Sunday.
With this summer’s transfer season arguably the most intense in the past decade particularly In England. Arsenal have only made two signings, Rob Holding and Granit Xhaka. Without any doubt, the top four race won’t be an easy one this season and this will raise many questions about Arsenal’s consistent top four finish.
