Manchester City are willing to allow Samir Nasri leave the club this summer if the £17 million price tag is met. AC Milan, Inter and Roma are rumoured to be interested in the French Midfielder according to Sky Sports.
Transfer talk has intensified in recent weeks after new boss Pep Guardiola forced the Frenchman to train alone because he returned from his holiday overweight. . Nasri, 29, has not played any part in City’s pre-season games and during City’s tour of China in July.
“Samir arrived back a little overweight but he is much, much better now. He has fought a lot during these weeks (in China) but he is a little bit overweight. Last season, he was overweight and had injuries all season and we want to avoid that”
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola said in July.
Nasri’s form has gradually faded away from the first-team spotlight since his £24million move from Arsenal in 2011, making only four Premier League starts and eight substitute appearances last season although, he was injured for five months with a hamstring problem.
Nasri is known for his dribbling, ball control and passing ability, he is described as a player whose “vision and imagination make him an unpredictable opponent”. His playing style, ability, and cultural background have drawn comparisons to French legend Zinedine Zidane. In December 2010, he was named the French Player of the Year for his performances during the calendar year.
In August 2011, after three seasons with Arsenal, Nasri joined Manchester City on a four-year contract. In his first season with the club, he won his first major honour as a player as the club won the Premier League during the 2011/12 season.
