Sporting Lisbon target Sandro as West Brom loan ends
Queens Park Rangers are close to getting Brazilian midfielder Sandro off the wage bill on a permanent basis as Sporting Lisbon look to strike a deal with the Championship club who are keen to get rid of the player as he becomes a free agent in 12 months.
Sandro was loaned to West Bromwich Albion in January with Tony Pulis singing the praises of Sandro but despite an exciting debut he could only manage six starts at The Hawthorns and Albion are keen to look elsewhere this summer, according to getwestlondon, as the average age of the squad is something the Welsh manager wants to address.
QPR will no longer use Sandro, the former Spurs man is free to find a new home for £2.5 million as the wage bill of Rangers is too high for the Championship club.
West Brom are not keen on a permanent deal despite no assurance that long serving midfielder James Morrison will stay as his contract expires at the end of the month meaning Tony Pulis and new Director of Football Nicky Hammond could in in for a busy time this summer replacing the pair along with Stephane Sessegnon and Victor Anchiebe who’s contracts will not be renewed.
