Ryan Giggs set to depart Manchester United
Ryan Giggs looks set to follow Louis van Gaal out of Manchester United with the former wing wizard believing he is best off managing elsewhere to prepare for the Old Trafford hot seat one day.
Jose Mourinho has been lined up by Man Utd to replace the Dutchman a year earlier that his contract lasts, Giggs was thought to be the successor in 12 months time but the decision to appoint Mourinho, according to the Mirror has left Giggs thinking he’s best off gaining experience away from the Red Devils.
Giggs did manage four games on an interim basis at Old Trafford between the Louis van Gaal and the David Moyes era and enjoyed his short time at the helm thinking he could learn off former Holland coach van Gaal and then take over but the Welshman now cannot see him managing the club with Mourinho imminent unless he gains some first hand experience of management.
Mourinho coming into Manchester makes the derby interesting with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, the pair often faced off in the El Clasico as the pair took over at Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Van Gaal was sacked following a lack of Champions League football next season so the first aim for a new manager will be to get Manchester United back in with the elite attracting top players to the red side of Manchester
