West Ham United have targeted a new forward in the summer with Slaven Bilic expecting his main targets to be wanted by fellow Premier League clubs and despite his incredible first term at Upton Park the former Croatia manager has got a list of strikers he can attempt to sign in the new season.
in fifth place and just a point off the Champions League places the Hammers will believe a strong end to the season and a Champions League berth will put them in a better position than others with Bilic able to give any new striker more playing time than their competitors with a larger squad needed for European football.
The biggest problem for West Ham could be the wages their targets want with The Telegraph highlighting that David Sullivan has already told players £120,000 a week wages are too much for the Londoners to fork out.
So, who are West Ham looking at?
Wilfried Bony
The former Swansea City forward has become a target for West Ham with his time at Manchester City seemingly coming to an end but his current wage of £100,000 a week plus bonuses could be a problem so the Ivory Coast international could need to take a pay cut to join West Ham.
Christian Benteke
West Ham have also placed Christian Benteke on a watch list with the former Aston Villa forward possibly looking for regular 90 minutes after Euro 2016 although again his wages would be a problem and it is unknown whether Jurgen Klopp would allow him to move on.
Alexandre Lacazette
The French international has become a wanted man over the last few transfer markets with Newcastle repeatedly linked with the Lyon forward along with Liverpool and now West Ham have spotted the striker as a potential aid to them for next season.
Michy Batshuayi
The Marseille man is at the front of the list for Slaven Bilic but the Hammers know that rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also been watching the striker who has impressed many this season.
One advantage for West Ham could be Dimitri Payet who knows Batshuayi well from his time at Marseille and are hopeful that Payet can help sell the East London club to Batshuayi and get him on board for the new season.
