Rickie Lambert has struggled to maintain a spot in the West Brom side this season following a summer switch from Liverpool and the former Southampton man could now be offered the opportunity to join Hull City as their march to the Championship title hots up.
Lambert, a set piece specialist, has had a tough time in the West Midlands and by his own accord he has not hit the heights he wanted to with the Baggies this term with Tony Pulis favouring fellow new boy Soloman Rondon up front with Saido Berahino and Victor Anichebe getting ahead of the former England international with West Brom.
Tony Pulis has now been offered the chance by a friend in Steve Bruce to offload Lambert for the season with Hull City keen to add the forward to their ranks until the end of the season according to the Express and Star.
The last movement between the two clubs saw James Chester move to Albion from Hull in the summer, an £8million move that has not worked out perfectly for either Chester or West Brom with the defender mainly being played out of position in a full back role under Pulis.
Whether Lambert or Albion are open to the idea of loaning out the striker is unknown.
