Pogba tops Chelsea’s summer wish-list
Speculation surrounding the future of French international Paul Pogba is likely to intensify as the summer transfer window draws closer.
Pogba has attracted attention from the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but today it is Chelsea who are reportedly working on a deal to land the 22-year-old.
According to Tuttosport, the Blues are currently working on a deal to bring the Juventus star to Stamford Bridge, with Roman Abramovic undeterred by his €100million price-tag.
Chelsea are currently twelfth in the Premier League and, despite a vast improvement in performance level since Guus Hiddink’s appointment, Abramovic is looking to recruit Antonio Conte as the new Blues boss in the summer.
Should he sign, Conte will be entrusted with the funds to undergo a complete squad overhaul and it’s believed Pogba tops his wish-list.
Juventus’ valuation may not have deterred Chelsea, bu interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid poses as a potential stumbling block.
Gazetta World claim Zinedine Zidane, who is a keen admirer of Pogba, has urged Los Blancos to ‘do everything they can’ to land the Juventus star.
