According to fresh reports from Spain, Liverpool could be set to swoop for Real Madrid starlet Jese Rodriguez.
Real are thought to demand an asking price in excess of £20million for the Spaniard – a price-tag that may deter Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp from following up his initial interest.
Liverpool are likely to face stiff competition for Rodriguez, with North London sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur having previously eyed up the 21-year-old. Further afield, Italian giants Juventus have also considered a move for him.
Jese has made 14 appearances for Los Blancos in the league this season, scoring and assisting twice, but has failed to complete a full 90 minutes.
Rodriguez has made four appearances in the Champions League this campaign and scored his first-ever goal in the competition last week, making an immediate impact from the substitutes bench, when he doubled Real’s lead against Roma, after Cristiano Ronaldo had opened the scoring.
