Chinese club prepared to pay £38 million for Payet
An unnamed Chinese club is reportedly prepared to pay a fee in the region of £38m for acquiring the services of West Ham star Dmitri Payet, says Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
Payet, who has been one of the Premier League’s signing of the season, has scored as many as six times, assisting four times. Above all, the Frenchman has been West Ham’s most influential and impressive performer this season.
Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has reported on his Twitter account that an unnamed club from China is willing to offer as much as £38 million for signing Payet, who came to Boleyn Ground for a fee in the region of £11.25 million from Marseille.
The 28-year-old will be offered a wage in the region of £135,000 a week after tax, in case he moves to the Asian superpower.
Amid speculations regarding the fact that the dynamic midfielder is attracting interest, West Ham have reportedly begun talks with Payet over a new contract, says the Guardian.
