Burnley Sign Youngster From Everton
The youngster from Everton, Chris Long has joined Burnley on a three-year old deal. Long was declared a Claret after Burnley announced his signing on their official Twitter account.
The deal took longer than expected to complete. Chris becomes the third signing for Burnley this summer. The fee involved in the transfer hasn’t been disclosed. Burnley have signed the 20-year-old Englishman for a span of 3 years with the option of another year. Long joined Everton in 2013 and was loaned to Milton Keynes Dons in 2014. He scored once in his 4 appearances for Dons. In the month of January, this Huyton born forward signed a loan deal with Brentford in 2015. He netted 4 goals in the 11 games he played for Brentford.
This promising youngster showed his gratitude towards Everton by thanking them for their support. Chris stated that he is very excited to start a new journey in life and cannot wait to play for Burnley. Everton gaffer termed Chris a true Evertonian and wished him luck for his future.
